Our Safety Policy

KANCO Contracting LLC has a policy of providing safe working environment in all its projects.

The key features of company’s safety program are:

  1. All personnel working in KANCO Contracting LLC sites shall be fully conversant with the Safety Regulations.
  2. Smoking is prohibited in all hazardous areas. Matches of all kinds, mechanical lighters, non-flame proof torches, photographic flash light and transistor radios must not be taken into such areas. Only intrinsically safe pagers shall be used inside the hazardous area.
  3. Personnel protective equipment must be worn by all employees as stipulated by the respective supervisor.
  4. All tools and equipments must be inspected and tested for safety before being put into use.
  5. Any crane, hoist or lifting tackle that is to be brought into the working premises must have a copy of its current inspection certificate with it.
  6. All KANCO Contracting LLC employees working in the Site shall be familiar with the location of the nearest fire alarm, the evacuation signal, the escape routes and the correct extinguishers and their location.
  7. No guards or protective devices may be removed or misused by employees from any machine, lift or any other facility.
  8. If the employees are working close to the edges of roofs, then the precautions of guard rails and toe boards and/or safety harnesses must be used.
  9. When using welding equipment, fireproof screens must be installed to protect employees from welding flashes.
  10. Any employee, if involved in or witnessing an accident (such as injury, vehicle collision, fire, property damage, atmospheric pollution etc. or near miss) shall inform the KANCO Supervisor.
  11. Any employee working for KANCO Contracting LLC shall ensure at all times that they are thoroughly familiar with the relevant area’s emergency response procedures.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY

We, at KANCO Contracting LLC are totally committed to a policy of prevention, reduction and elimination of all undesired events that could or do result in loss and to protect the interest of the company and client at all times.

To achieve this aim the company has embarked on a risk management and safety program which will encompass all sections and areas of our operations. The specific objectives of this program are as follows:

  • To place paramount emphasis of the prevention of accidents to persons, damage to the property and loss of process.
  • Prompt accident notification, reporting and investigation.
  • The establishment and maintenance of a safe, healthy and protective working environment.
  • Protection of property, equipment and material from all down grading incidents.
  • Provide and maintain a safe place and a safe system of work, safe tools and equipments and a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Comply with all statutory duties for the protection and promotion of the health and safety of our employees and others who may be affected by Hi-Builds activities.
  • Maintain the standards of occupational health and safety to prevent human suffering and loss, which results from sub-standard malpractices.
  • Personal negligence towards safety and health regulations is strictly forbidden, any infringement of the regulations will result in disciplinary action being taken against the offender.

It is vital that all employees commit themselves to the attachment of these objectives by ensuring that every task is done safely and in accordance with the project policy and procedures, standards and managerial instructions.
